If the pandemic taught home cooks anything, it was that they didn’t need to slave over the stove on Thanksgiving. Numerous local options for having a traditional turkey dinner delivered to your door sprang up in 2020. Many still exist now that COVID-19 is mostly a memory. Here is a short list of possibilities.

As we reported yesterday, Carmine’s, the veteran Italian mini-chain, has assembled a Thanksgiving package that feeds 6 to 8 and includes all the essentials. The centerpiece is an 18-pound turkey, sausage and sage stuffing, mashed potatoes with giblet gravy, and more. The cost is $349, and for an additional $25 can be extended to include apple or pumpkin pie. Carmine’s has New York locations in Times Square, at 200 West 44th Street, 212-221-3800 and the Upper West Side, at 2450 Broadway, 212-362-2200.

At Estuary in DUMBO, you can choose from three meal options depending on the size of your gathering and/or what’s included. The basic meal, at $220, includes a turkey, giblet gravy, cornbread stuffing, and cranberry sauce. For the middle tier, at $320, add in roasted rosemary potatoes, baby Brussels sprouts, and a choice of either brown butter pumpkin pecan or deep dish apple pie. For the top tier, at $400, the restaurant will throw in sweet potato puree and macaroni and cheese. All orders must be placed by Nov. 18. Estuary, 159 Bridge Park Drive, Brooklyn, 718-521-6744.

For those living across the river, there is Sátis Bistro in Jersey City. The restaurant will be offering a four-course Thanksgiving meal prepared and packaged for pickup. For $68 a person, you can begin your Turkey Day meal with a rum-spiced butternut squash soup followed by an arugula salad. The main event is a roasted turkey with gravy, stuffing, roasted potatoes, haricots verts, and cranberry sauce. Dessert is your choice of pecan or pumpkin pie. Pick up your meal by Wednesday, Nov. 23. Sátis Bistro, 212 Washington Street, Jersey City, N.J., 201-435-5151.

Citarella, which has been a local fixture for more than a century, offers you the choice of assembling your Thanksgiving meal from a list of individually priced options or to choose the entire meal package, which includes a roasted, fully cooked free-range turkey breast, pumpkin bisque, lasagna bolognese, sautéed brussels sprouts, sautéed string beans, a cranberry conserve with pecans, chicken bone broth, turkey gravy, sweet potato purée, chunky mashed potatoes, wild rice stuffing, corn bread, and apple pie. You can pick up your order or arrange delivery. (Scroll down to the bottom of the page for eligible zip codes.) Citarella has three New York City locations: 2135 Broadway, 1313 Third Avenue, and 424 Sixth Avenue (at 9th St.). The phone number for all three branches is 212-874-0383.

There is no law that says you can’t have your Thanksgiving turkey smoked. That’s how they do it at Blue Smoke, where you can assemble your own feast from a list of possibilities or opt for the Thanksgiving dinner for four for $175. The package comes with two pounds of smoked turkey breast, a pint of turkey gravy, two pounds of green bean casserole, two pounds of cornbread stuffing, two pounds of mashed sweet potatoes with spiced pecans, and one pint of cranberry sauce. Blue Smoke, 255 Vesey Street, 212-889-2005.

Can Thanksgiving be Thanksgiving without turkey? That’s a philosophical question you and your guests can explore in the event you choose to go with Eleven Madison Home‘s plant-based Thanksgiving feast. The package, which serves four and is priced at $288, features cranberry chutney, made with fresh cranberries and orange zest; mushroom gravy, made with porcini mushrooms and finished with lemon thyme, sage, and rosemary; a country rye stuffing kit and kabocha squash to stuff; and the “Candy Apple Duo” of sesame pretzel and chocolate apple. The meal concludes with apple and cranberry pie from Petee’s Pies, topped with Eleven Madison Park’s classic apple granola. There is even a pumpkin seed old fashioned cocktail mixer.
