Last season we reported that Citi Field, where the Mets play, had initiated a high-end members-only speakeasy that features wine and cocktails. This season, the stadium will revive another high-end attraction in its Stadium Chef Series.
On Sept. 27, Citi Field will become one of several ball parks around the country to offer a communal five-course meal plus wine pairings, prepared by a team of notable chefs. Dinner will be served on the warning track before the game. The event will be emceed by television host and foodie Adam Richman.
The cost? A mere $800 a person. If that sounds steep, note that the event’s chief raison d’être is to raise awareness of the James Beard Foundation’s Good Food for Good® mission, which serves diverse communities via chef-driven events within iconic sporting venues. Tickets may be purchased here.
