NYC Art Exhibition Turned into Chocolate for Patrons

Are you hungry for good art? New York’s Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) may have just what the art critic ordered.

The current exhibition, titled The Fisher Dollhouse: A Venetian Palazzo in Miniature, will be on display through Sept. 26 and captures in miniature a Venetian palazzo.

If you’re wondering where the food connection is, master chocolatier Paul Joachim (a.k.a. The Chocolate Genius) has created limited-edition chocolate bars inspired by the art work that are on sale exclusively at The Store at MAD until the exhibition closes.

The bars are cast in chocolate from 49% Madagascar Cacao to resemble the façade of the building. They will be available starting next week.

To launch the bars, Joachim will do a live chocolate demonstration on Sept. 4 from noon to 2 p.m. for patrons to enjoy. Edible performance art? What’s next.
