Step into the world of Japanese craft sake with sake authority Nancy Matsumoto at a one-night-only collaborative dinner event hosted by Lingo, in Greenpoint.

Resident chef Emily Yuen will entice guests with an exclusive five-course tasting menu inspired by cherry blossom season and the delicate flavors of spring. Offerings will include the likes of bone marrow chawanmushi with shallots, garlic chips, and chive blossoms; a mosaic nori black cod with celeriac purée, ginger beurre blanc, and ikura; and a sakura leaf mousse with crème anglaise, white peach, and almond crumble.

Each course will be thoughtfully paired with a sake curated by Matsumoto, who will also share insights into the artistry and traditions behind Japan’s most celebrated beverage. As a bonus, guests will receive a signed copy of her book Rice, Water, Earth: Exploring the World of Japanese Craft Sake.

The event will take place on Thursday, April 10, between the hours of 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. The cost is $145 per person. Reservations can be made via Resy.
