Junior’s legendary cheesecake is now available in scented candle form. The world-famous Brooklyn restaurant has entered into a partnership with scented candle maker Literie. Their first joint offering is called “A Slice of Strawberry Cheesecake” and is described by Literie as conveying “a hint of strawberry, notes of vanilla, and a wink of cream cheese.” The cost is $45.
Taqueria Ramirez Popping Up at Greenpoint Fish & Lobster
Taqueria Ramirez, a minuscule street-taco restaurant in Greenpoint, Brooklyn has won critical acclaim for among other things its “rose meat.” On Tuesday it will try its hand at seafood as the team heads over to nearby Greenpoint Fish & Lobster for a pop-up dinner. From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., diners can expect to feast on such land-sea hybrids as monkfish al pastor, tuna tostadas, and grilled fish collar.
