There will be no TV cameras and no home audience tuning in, but it’s the closest you’re probably going to come to playing the part of one of the judges on the Food Network reality show “Chopped.”
As you look on, two chefs will go toe to toe in a timed Iron Chef-type battle at Hudson Table Brooklyn, an event space and interactive culinary studio in Williamsburg. Each chef will prepare a 3-course dinner or brunch consisting of an appetizer, a main course, and dessert based on ingredients culled from a mystery basket. As a judge, in other words, you will be served six courses of food. (Having done this professionally myself at the International Culinary Center in SoHo, where the task was to assess the output of four student chefs, I offer two friendly words of advice: Pace yourself.)
There will be a maximum of 20 people per dining event, with the restaurant hosting between 2 and 5 public ticketed events per month. Click here for information about upcoming dining events.
