Xing Fu Tang's Brown Sugar Boba Milk

If you live in Queens and you’re into food, you’re probably familiar with Xing Fu Tang, the bubble tea (boba) emporium on Main Street in Flushing, which has developed quite a following (both here and Taiwan) for its hand-crafted brown sugar boba.

If you don’t live in Queens, you’ll be glad to know that a branch of Xing Fu Tang is opening on lower Second Avenue later this month (133 Second Avenue, 646-590-1298).

The new venue will feature an open kitchen concept where tapioca pearls, a key ingredient in bubble tea, are hand-made hourly. The remainder of the tea is made with whole, natural ingredients, organic milk, and each serving is made to order. All beverages and desserts at Xing Fu Tang are made using only high-quality ingredients imported from Taiwan, locally fresh produce, and organic milk.

Xing Fu Tang’s signature offering is its brown sugar boba milk, concocted with the team’s freshly caramelized brown sugar boba and topped with creamy milk foam and brown sugar that is lightly torched crème brûlée-style.
