Last month, Apple Eats’s Maggie Whitfield informed readers that a branch of the world’s largest plant-based restaurant chain was opening for business here in New York.

Today, we’re back to report that the restaurant, Copper Branch, is giving away free burgers and bowls this coming Friday, Oct. 11, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 11 p.m.

Choose either a General Copper Bowl or a Black Bean Burger at the the restaurant’s new Greenwich Village location at 195 Bleecker Street. The two items were selected because they number along Copper Branch’s most popular choices.

The General Copper Bowl features General Tao tofu, fresh avocado, sriracha coleslaw, steamed broccoli, and organic brown rice. The Black Bean Burger, meanwhile, dresses a black bean and sweet potato patty with tomato, lettuce, and vegan Southwest sauce, the entirety served on an organic Kamut bun.

The promotion is valid for one item per customer and can’t be combined with any other offer or promotion.

Copper Branch, 195 Bleecker Street (no phone listed).
