Hey, what’s a little innocent holiday fun between fierce restaurant competitors?
For an answer, take a peek at the prank pulled off by fast food giant Burger King in time for Halloween.
A branch of BK in the New York City borough of Queens is sporting a costume this year, which is to say the restaurant has dressed itself up as the ghost of McDonald’s. The building is shrouded in an outsize white sheet (a la the conceptual artist Christo) emblazoned with the competitor’s name and the message “BOOOOO! Just kidding, we still flame grill our burgers. Happy Halloween.”
The outlet has even carried the joke so far as to decorate its packaging for the occasion:
