Sushi lovers, unite! SUSHI-CON 2024 — America’s largest sushi convention, is coming to the Metropolitan Pavilion in the Flatiron District on Sunday, Sept. 22. Previously known as the True Worlds Food Expo, the event will unite more than 50 sushi chefs and seafood suppliers from around the globe under one roof.

Attendees will have access to unlimited quantities of the freshest and most expertly cut seafood delicacies the planet has to offer. Wagyu beef tastings will also be available.

A stated goal of this year’s event is to familiarize New Yorkers to new flavors. Toward this end, edible offerings will include abalone, American domestic eel, conger eel, and Hawaiian kanpachi.

A highlight of the festival will be the tuna cutting demonstration where trained chefs artfully break down a 400-pound tuna.

Tickets, which may be obtained here, are $120 — an even $100 if purchased by Sept. 2.

Note that attendees must be 16 years of age or older.
