For nineteen seasons with a twentieth in the works for next year, fans of Bravo’s “Top Chef” have become accustomed to hearing the doleful words “you’ve been cut” said to losing cooks. On Friday, Sept. 9, you will get a chance to see the person who uttered those words live. On that date, between noon and 3 p.m., “Top Chef” host Padma Lakshmi will be cooking on the Great Lawn in Central Park. For information and tickets, including prices, which have not yet been posted, click here.

The appearance is part of a weekend-long event called “Ozy Fest,” which will also feature music by singer John Legend, business advice from Shark Tank’s Mark Cuban, and comedy by The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah.

McDonald’s to Test-Run a Chicken Big Mac

Repeat after me: “Two all chicken patties special sauce lettuce cheese pickles onions on a sesame seed bun.” That’s the tune McDonald’s will be singing at select restaurants in Miami for a limited time later this month when they roll out their Chicken Big Mac. The sandwich, made with battered chicken (tempura) patties, was a big hit in the UK. If it catches on during the testing period, it may be coming to a Golden Arches near you.
