On Sept. 19, Chelsea Market will host the third annual Anne Saxelby Legacy Fund benefit. The shared goal of the event and the Fund is to provide monthlong paid apprenticeships to young adults who will live, work, and ultimately learn on sustainable farms.
Over 130 well-known chefs, artisans, and mixologists will be on hand to provide samples of their wares to the hordes who have graciously donated to this worthy cause.
New vendor areas this year will include a pasta tasting room, a salumeria, and a pastry hall. In addition, an auction and raffle will open online on Aug. 27th and again at the event. Prizes will include chef-prepared dinners in your home and once-in-a-lifetime restaurant experiences.
Anne Saxelby, the woman whom the event and charity honors, was a cheesemonger in New York City who believed that good food could change the world. The Anne Saxelby Legacy Fund is a 501(c)(3)non-profit. Your gift over $80 per ticket is tax-deductible.
Tickets, which may be purchased here, are $150 per person.
