ChainFEST, the Los Angeles-based celebration of reinvented fast food, will be heading to New York’s Randall’s Island Park on Saturday, September 21.

Conceived by actor B.J. Novak and Michelin-starred chef Tim Hollingsworth, ChainFEST will serve up gourmet takes on items from the menus at KFC, Panda Express, Red Robin, Red Lobster,  Krispy Kreme, and Chuck E. Cheese, to name a few. As an example, Red Lobster’s Cheddar Bay Biscuit will be partnered with butter poached lobster.

At a news conference, Chef Hollingsworth, who worked at Per Se and The French Laundry prior to striking out on his own, attempted to explain the inspiration for the event, telling members of the media, “It’s like that full circle moment. You’re creating this new memory based on an old memory and it’s reinforced.”

The one-day event will also feature games and immersive experiences.

Tickets for unlimited tastings at the festival will go on sale on Friday, Aug. 9, starting at $99.99 for an afternoon and an evening session. All-Inclusive VIP Tickets start at $399.99 and include unlimited bites from all chain restaurant partners, early festival entry, an open bar, and more.

For attendees really living large there will be a VIP Chef’s Tasting Table. The seated, full service, non-stop chain food buffet will offer an inexhaustible supply of menu items from each of the participating chain restaurants. Prices start at $1,299.99.
