When it comes to exuding holiday spirit, no city can touch New York. If you don’t believe us, take a look at our annual primer of local bars that transform themselves, including their drink menus, into celebrations of the Season of Lights.
This year you can add a newcomer to your list of bars and restaurants that strive to get into the holiday spirit by offering patrons something unique. Its name is Kabin and its special offering is gløgg, a Scandinavian version of mulled wine that has been aging in an oak cask for weeks.
The current batch of gløgg, which achieved full maturity yesterday, Dec. 1, is a truly limited edition offering: The barrel holds 10 liters, and once it’s finished, it’s gone for the year!
